The Ipswich-born forward has netted 38 goals in 65 league appearances for the O’s and was briefly at Norwich after leaving Ipswich in 2009 before moving on to Colchester United and progressing through their academy, where he scored 46 goals in 54 U18 appearances.

At 23, Bonne’s future is up in the air and there are clubs interested in giving him a platform to perform higher up in the football league ladder.

Fry not ready for Liverpool move

Dael Fry of Middlesbrough FC competes for the ball with Samuel Saiz of Leeds United.

In-form and fast improving Dael Fry has the potential to reach the top but is in the right place at Boro to continue his impressive development, says Tony Pulis.

While Fry has been in and around Boro’s first team picture for the last couple of seasons, he’s made a big breakthrough this term and has been a key member of the Championship’s best defence.

Fry has impressed at centre-half and recently at right-back, where he’s been a revelation in covering for the injured Ryan Shotton.

The 21-year-old’s classy and composed displays haven’t gone unnoticed, with reports in the last week claiming Liverpool and other Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Fry and monitoring his development.

Pulis, though, will make sure Fry keeps his feet on the ground and says patience is key for the modest Berwick Hills defender.
