The scripture quotes Jesus Christ saying, “give the caesor what belongs to caesor” and Lawyer Nelson Havi could be one of the caesors today. After offering to act for the eight Ambira high school boys who still behind the bars following their arrest on Saturday, the lawyer has received a massive applause from Kenyans on twitter.

The boys were arrested after a video they recorded insulting interior CS Fred Matiang’i and his education counterpart Amina Mohammed went viral.
In his post on his official twitter account, Havi said he had offered to act for the boys, and asked for any information from the public regarding the identity of their parents or guardians.
We have offered to act for the 8 Ambira High School boys. If you know the identities and contacts of their parents or guardians, please notify us ASAP. We cannot have a high handed executive decision to punish children and a more than willing Court assisting in the transgression.

The post has stirred the internet, with many applauding him for the move whilst they condemn the government for its action. One of the users posted, “Isn’t it about time courts stopped assisting the police from circumventing the constitution. It’s now normal for police to arrest, present to court, then ask for 14 days to investigate. What should come first, arrest then investigate or investigate then arrest?”
Some accused the government officers of using their offices to punish people who don’t agree to their terms as they criticised Dr Matiang’i and CS Amina of using their offices to punish the Ambira high school boys.
Here are some of the stirred reactions.
Using an office &public resources to punish someone who doesn’t like/agree w/ u is a crime. @AMB_A_Mohammed @FredMatiangi r misusing their offices to punish those boys. Which law did they break?Sadly @UKenyatta who is always silent in corrupt matters is now vocal supporting this

Of only the same energy was used to deal with perpetrators of economic crimes..wanajulikana lakini they roam free. They beat their chest on dealing with the pettiest of crime and turn a blind eye to the big real issues that affect all Kenyans
