Politician to petition for Miguna Miguna’s return

Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has earned himself die hard supporters who have always cheered him despite being out of the country for months now.

The efforts of his return seemingly to have bore no fruits, some Kenyans are still hopeful that he will return to ‘save the nation’

Others are glad that he is away saying that all his posts are always about the negative side and his commentary termed as beyond the extremes.

A former Ombeyi ward MCA aspirant took to social media to ask Kenyans to support his petition to bring Miguna Miguna back to the county.

According to the politician, he says that the handshake is all about mending what was broken and therefore  this should serve as a leeway to have Miguna Miguna back in the country.

“I want to petition to the National Assembly of Kenya that  in the spirit of Handshake, Dr. @MigunaMiguna be allowed to return to Kenya because he’s a Kenyan citizen by birth.

Dr. Miguna is a son of Ahero, Nyando born and raised in Kenya. The law is clear on citizenship by birth, it’s a right that can never be taken away from any citizen.

We all are aware of the circumstances that led to the deportation of Dr. Miguna Miguna and those same circumstances led to the strife among our leaders.

The purpose of the Handshake as we have been told and we have read was therefore to mend fences and build bridges amongst us so that every Kenyan can see the promise land Canaan.” He wrote in a long post

Some Kenyans have reacted  saying that they are ready to offer their support while others have simply shown their back over the matter.

Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, National Intelligence Service director Philip Kameru, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett and Immigration PS Gordon Kihalangwa is understood to have concluded that allowing Miguna into the country on the strength of his national identity card was improper.

On 30th March, Miguna was deported to Dubai despite court orders. Attempts by Miguna’s lawyers — James Orengo and Nelson Havi — to serve the orders on Immigration officials at the airport were violently thwarted by police.

Will Kenyans fully support this petition?
