The 2nd leg of the Copa Libertadores descended into chaos last night and the drama looks set to continue today with rumours circulating that the Boca Juniors players are set to refuse to play.

The Boca buss was attacked and ambushed on its way into the Monumental Stadium to play River Plate in the biggest Superclasico of all time which lead to the original game being postponed.

Amazingly, there were rumours that the game was originally only to be delayed an hour but thankfully, common-sense prevailed and the match was rearranged for Sunday evening GMT.

That kick-off is now also thought to be under threat with the Boca players considering refusing to play according to stories on social media…

while Angelici (Boca president) won’t request the win, Boca’s players will refuse to play tomorrow. Anyway, this is going to run on and on… -(@golazoargentino)

The Boca Juniors changing room resembled a war zone after the attack with players being treated all over the place with a video emerging on twitter of the carnage suffered prior to a game, which was meant to be one of the most highly anticipated in recent memory.

The match was finely balanced at 2-2 after the first leg which had meant everything was on the line for the return match but there are now major doubts about the tie as a whole.
