Wahenga walisema, “Asante ya punda ni mateke.”
After everything Cabinet Secretary for Education, Amina Mohamed and Cabinet Secretary for Interior, Fred Matiang’i have done to ensure that the 2018 national examination was transparent and secure, a group of boys believed to have been from Ambira High School have in turn hurled demeaning insults to the two Cabinet Secretaries.
It isn’t known if the boys intended for the video to go viral but it has on social media. They seem to have shot themselves in the foot as the grapevine now says that detectives have been sent to Ambira High School to probe the incident. In the clip, the students are celebrating the end of their exams by burning their books and even confessed to have cheated.
Whether or not they were mocking Amina and Matiang’i, their remarks will see them investigated over the claims they made. The two Ministries have worked extremely hard to curb the exam cheating menace. While there were few cases of cheating in the just concluded Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), the Education ministry confirmed that the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) had no leakage in all papers.
Kenyans on Twitter have reacted furiously to the video that went viral.
Ambira High School.God have mercy.
For everything we do, there are consequences and this school boys insulting CSs Amina and Matiang'i thinking completing KCSE exams marks the end of learning, are yet to pay the price.

this is not a problem for Matiangi or Amina but to the society which is raising these and propping these idiots. When they carry guns on your streets for survival don't blame the state for bringing them down.

"Never insult the crocodile when your buttocks are still in water"
Those boys insulting Fred Matiang'i and Amina Mohammed claiming 'tuliiba mtihani' will learn this the hard way.

The two Cabinet secretaries are old enough to be the parents of these boys. Where did we go wrong as a society?
While we wait for legal action to be taken against the Ambira High School hooligans, the bigger question is how were the students in possession of a mobile phone during the exam period?
