Shocking! KCPE Candidate Dies Before Receiving Results

Sections of the country are celebrating the 2018 KCPE results released on Monday, but a family in Eldoret is mourning the death of their son who scored 349 marks.

A lorry ferrying sand rammed into the house of Edward Nyamu’s family, killing him on the spot just a few hours before the release of the KCPE examinations.

The heavily loaded lorry hit the bedroom of Nyamu’s house and her mother’s efforts to pull him out were fruitless as he had already died.

“I tried to pull him out but all was in vain. I could not believe my son had died and I kept pulling him as my neighbours watched helplessly,” the mother told the media shortly after the exam’s release.
