Chelsea has been handed a major transfer blow in pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic after the club claimed the winger is not for sale.
Last week, reports emerged that Chelsea was close to landing the 20-year-old who was in Liverpool and Tottenham’s radar. But the Bundesliga side is adamant the winger will not be leaving in the coming weeks.
“We have known these rumours for many years. We are planning with him at least until the end of the season,” said the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc.
Pulisic, whose contract with Dortmund expires in 2020 admitted that he would be open to a Premier League move.
“The Premier League is where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why one day I won’t play here,” he said.
“We are having a great year at Dortmund and I am enjoying every moment of that. Then when the time comes for me to talk in the breaks about my future, that’s when those things will happen.”
