Farmers crucified: Ruto exposed in the biggest government mischief scandal

DP William Ruto with Congo Prime Minister Clement Mouamba during the signing of the Framework ...Is there mischief going on in our Government system?

On September 2018 , the deputy President William Ruto visited the Republic of Congo for an official tour, a trip that has unfolded with allegations of poor leadership in the deputy presidents office.

A section of Jubilee MPs have now accused the DP of secretly starting two international businesses whose aim is to hurt Kenyan farmers.
Led by Nandi Hills’ Alfred Keter and his Cherang’any counterpart Joshua Kutuny, the two MPs  claime that Ruto has started a maize farm in the Republic of Congo whose capital is Brazzavile – but no evidence was cited.

Kutuny claimed that the DP had used an official trip to Congo to seal the deal, further claiming that Ruto was discouraging local farmers from the maize business so as to create a market gap for his produce.

“Part of his mission to Congo recently was to sign the deal to start maize farming there. He wants local farmers to do avocado to occasion a maize shortage in the country so that his maize from Brazzaville can gets its way to the local market,” Kutuny said.

Keter added that the Deputy President’s call for Rift Valley farmers to switch to avocado farming was also driven by another business he had reportedly started in Botswana.

“He is now telling them of avocado yet we know he’s building a factory in Botswana. We also know he is planting 500,000 Ha of maize in Congo. Stop crucifying us so you can benefit. You’ and your office are the problem,” Keter said but also failed to provide evidence to back his allegations.

The two also called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to order a probe on the activities of the DP and his officials.

The Deputy President’s office has not responded to the claims made by the two MPs.
