Ousmane Dembele’s meteoric rise has levelled off somewhat, with the 21-year-old struggling for consistency at international level and with his club Barcelona.
A €105m transfer to the Blaugrana from Borussia Dortmund in last year, he’s reportedly been criticised by senior members of his own dressing room for his poor timekeeping and attitude more than once this term.
His supposed shortcomings have been highlighted by his international manager Didier Deschamps also. And it seems his behavioural issues have been an issue for some time.
Dembele is being sued the landlord of the last home he lived in while playing in Germany according to reports from Bild.Gerd Weissenberg, 71, has given a damning indictment of the state the young forward left the property in when he left for Catalonia to the Court of First Instance of Dortmund.
“Everywhere there was garbage and rubbish,” he said.
“In the fridge there was rotten food, between the cupboards were many old plastic bags and on the floor, dry spots.
“Behind the front door was a pile of unpaid bills, so apparently I am not the only one cheated.”
It’s also been claimed that the keys for the property wasn’t returned, and so Weissenberg had to change the locks, and that Dembele left no forwarding address, so the court can’t get in touch with him regarding the proceedings.
His ex-landlord wants 20,725.76 euros plus interest to cover the costs of the “considerable damage” he claims has been done.
The German outlet has published photos of the damage.
