Watanzania wamezidi!!Bongo rapper denies bewitching fans

Why do most Tanzanian celebrities are accused of practicing witchcraft?

Not long ago  Wema Sepetu and Ray C  were  accused of using juju to win fans.

Now Tanzania’s renown  rapper Nay Wa Mitego has denied that he used witchcraft on stage while performing after spraying water on his fans.

The singer, who has been also named several times for using juju to make sure he remains relevant, said that spraying water on his fans has been one of his rituals.

Adding that the spraying of water was to psyche up fans while performing.

“Jamani mimi sio mshirikina na wala siawahi kujihusisha na mambo hayo , yale majin ni ya kawaida tu na wala hayana madhara yoyote kwa mtu yoyote  kwani ninaweza kumpa mtu akanywa, mimi nimekuwa nikiyatumia tu kwa ajili kuwachangamsha mashabiki wangu.” he said.

Sometimes back  Nay wa Mitego threw shade at fellow musicians who belief that witchcraft is the way to make waves in the music industry.

During an interview, Nay stated that witchcraft will not take any musician anywhere but sheer hard work.

The rapper added that his clout in the Tanzanian music scene was because of his efforts to churn out great music that has come to be appreciated by all.

“Umefika muda karibia Tanzania nzima inaamini kwenye kile ambacho nakifanya, hii ni ndele tosha, ni zaidi ya ndele, sijua mtu ambaye anaamini hivyo”Said Nay.

Adding that “Halafu ndele huwa zina mwisho ukifika muda maana wewe ndio umemaliza hata uimbe vipi, hata umshirikishe yesu bado watu hawaelewi”.
