Liverpool defender reveals his transfer wish-list

Virgil Van Dijk has revealed that Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt is on the radar on the radar of Liverpool but he insists that he hasn’t approached Jurgen Klopp about signing the youngster.

Matthijs has attracted interest from the big guns in Europe after his outstanding performances for Ajax in the Eredivisie that has seen them concede only five goals this season. The Dutch defender also played in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final back in 2017, partnering with Davinson Sanchez who later moved to Tottenham Hotspur.

Virgil van Dijk has been impressed by de Ligt’s growth, “He is already very far, especially at that age. A good defender, good boy, calm, knows what he wants and hopefully, he makes the right choice in his next step.”

When asked if de Light could join him at Liverpool the Dutch skipper replied, “He will be on the list because they have enough scouts at the club. If they need my opinion at Liverpool, I’ll give it.”
