Kenyans believe, Migori governor Okoth Obado’s latest woes are self inflicted and a result of him joking about crocodiles.
On Saturday, during a public rally in Kuria, which was attended by Deputy President William Ruto, Obado said that there is no place in the Bible that states that there were crocodiles in River Jordan.
‘It is either the Joshua leading you to Canaan is fake or River Jordan is fake.’ Obado said to the applause of the crowd.
ODM leader Raila Odinga, has accused the presence of crocodiles in river Jordan, which prevented him from leading Kenyans to Canaan in last year’s general elections. DP William Ruto, has disagreed with the narrative, arguing that there were no crocodiles.
Obado, who has emerged to be Ruto’s soldier in Luo Nyanza decided to take a jibe at Raila, a decision that landed him in hot soup. At least that is according to some Kenyans on line.
Don’t insult a crocodile while your buttocks are still in the river. @Okoth_obado

The county boss will spend a night at Gigiri Police Station pending the hearing and determination of his case.
Chief magistrate Joyce Gandani on Thursday said the bail ruling will be delivered on Friday. The county boss was arraigned in Kibera.
Police had sought 15 days to detain Obado for further investigations into the illegal gun possession case. The governor was arrested by DCI on Wednesday after an EACC raid at his Nairobi and Migori homes netted eight guns.
