Kenyans are known to be people that say it as it is. They never shy away from exposing the rot in the society.
Today was no different as the Kenyans on twitter took some time to expose the “achievements” accomplished by our Governors. It is proper to say that Kenyans saw nothing positive from the governors with the many that took part in the online discussion only focusing on the negative side of the Governors.
A number of Kenyan Governors and their deputies have of late made history for all the wrong reasons and it is these reasons that Kenyans online focused on.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado, Kiambu’s Ferdinad Waititu, Charity Ngilu, Anne Waiguru, Hassan Joho and others made it to the Kenyans on Twitter list for their seemingly poor performance and “backward” way of doing things.
Okoth Obado is facing murder and corruption related charges while Governor Joho has been accused of being more of a tourist than a governor with his numerous trips out of the country being questioned.
Kericho governor Prof Paul Chepkwony, who was shoved to court with a myriad of accusations ranging from misuse of public funds, nepotism, impregnating campus girls and having a love affair with his female deputy was also congratulated.
Governor Charity Ngilu was congratulated for making empty Promises to the people of Kitui.
TransNzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba was on the spot for promoting corruption in his county. The governor is accused of allegedly failing to account for 242 million shillings queried by the Auditor General, Edward Ouko
From graft charges to sex scandals, Kenyan County Governors have surely been involved with controversies since the inception of Devolution in Kenya.
