3 things every football fan needs to do during the International Break

The International break is easily the worst period for any football fan. The agony of not watching your football team for a whole two weeks is compounded by the total lack of quality served up by the International matches. It is especially a dull and almost lifeless two weeks when the team you support loses the last match prior to the break( Sorry Manchester United fans, we understand). It is easily two weeks of relentless office banter, and to be fair, office banter can be exhausting when you’ve lost. To put all this into context, we do not love the International Breaks FIFA.

So to ease out these boredom, we have compiled a few things that football fans ought to do during the International break.

Update your Fantasy team

How many times have you missed the chance to get your fantasy team up to date due to sheer memory loss and lack of ample time? Well, fear no more because you have a whole two weeks to get the best players and clear the deadwood from your squad. Am pretty sure there are a few players who have disappointed you. I for instance, need to get Sadio Mane out as soon as possible. Kun Aguero has been his usual self and very worthy of the armband but I still can not believe I had Ngolo Kante in my team(Please dont laugh). Make your fantasy corrections people!

Scout Your team’s transfer links

By now you have probably noticed that one player your team is missing. Maybe a winger like Arsenal does or a commanding center back like Manchester United need. Whatever your team lacks, you can be sure the media has linked exactly that kind of player to your club. Do  bit of homework on the players linked and see if they are any good, then got your team’s official twitter handle and tell suggest that they sign the player, or not! Arsenal fans should probably be looking at Nicolas Pepe while Manchester United remains heavily linked with every other half decent center back in World Football. Turn into that classic Youtube Scout.

Watch some football

It is inevitable that you will still watch some football. Once the withdrawal symptoms kick in you can always watch a top class international match to ease the nerves. The exicitement may be lacking but at least you get to watch some footy! Better still you can go to the Stadium an cheer on your national team. It is always fun especially after a few drinks before heading to the stadium.
