As the KCPE exams come to an end today, a mutura vendor in Githurai has been giving KCPE candidates in the area free mutura and soup.
Kinyanjui who plies his trade in Githurai 44 says he has been doing that as a way of encouraging the young candidates.
“These children are my customers, so they asked me to send them success cards, to which i obliged. But then i decided that instead of sending them success cards, i just give them, mtura and soup in the evening after every paper,” says Kinyanjui.
The candidates are from Emmaculate Primary in Githurai 44 Maziwa.
And to culminate the KCPE exams, Kinyanjui says he will slaughter two goats for the candidates as a way of celebrating their efforts.
This as much as it looks like a simple act it helps builds the morale of students during exams period.
