KCSE candidates are supposed to be putting final touches on their preparations for the exams which are set to begin on Monday next week.
But exam pressure can be overwhelming for some people and perhaps that’s the reason why two male students decided to break into a girls’ dormitory on Wednesday. Of course their plans didn’t go down well and that’s why we are writing this story.
Two male students were on Wednesday night arrested after allegedly forcing their way into a dormitory at Kyaani Girls Secondary School in Kitui.
The suspects, both aged 18 years, are Form Four students from Kauma Boys Secondary School.
According to Kyaani Secondary School Principal Elizabeth Musyimi, she was alerted at around 11.45pm by the school guard who informed her of a commotion in the girls’ dormitory.
The suspects are said to have gained entry into the compound by cutting through a chain link fence and thereafter entering Upendo dormitory where all 47 Form Four candidates who are in school are housed.
According to the dormitory captain, the boys first threw stones on the roof of the dormitory causing panic, before making their way in.
“However, as the men entered the dormitory the said dormitory captain summoned courage and coordinated the girls who, with the help of two watchmen, on duty overwhelmed and apprehended them,” said police in a statement. The suspects are being held at Matinyani Police Station awaiting to be arraigned in court.
However, this is not the first time in which cheeky male students have raided a neighboring girls’ school.
In 2015, a team of 40 boys from Iten Boys High School in Elgeyo Marakwet County raided the neighboring Sing’ore Girls High School.
According to Keiyo North Sub-County police boss Fredrick Ochieng “the boys from the neighbouring St Patrick’s Boys High School had sneaked into the compound with an intention of raping the girls.”
Their plans however didn’t go down well as they were attacked by watchmen. One of the boys was severely injured while 12 others were arrested.
The boys later revealed that they were invited into the school by the girls for a sexy orgy. In fact they carried condoms to protect the girls.
