Jose Mourinho says he is happy at Manchester United, dismissing reports that he could replace under-fire Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui.
Speaking with media ahead of the encounter with Juventus, Mourinho was quizzed on the possibility of returning to the Los Blancos.
Reports suggest that Lopetegui could be axed just four months after taking over as Madrid boss due to run of poor results in the recent matches. With Mourinho’s future at Old Trafford also in doubt, he was tipped to head back to Santiago Bernabeu.
The former Chelsea boss faced a series of questions from the Spanish and Italian journalist on whether a return to Spain would interest him.
“No, I’m happy here. I’m happy to see my contract out to the very last day of that contract and I would like to stay after my contract ends. All I’m thinking about is Manchester United,” said Mourinho.
United hosts Juventus at Old Trafford in a Champions League encounter on Tuesday night. #
