Prince Danda, a fourth year Media and Society Studies student at Midlands State University in Zimbabwe, pleaded guilty to the charge of theft when he appeared before Gweru magistrate Beaulite Dube. He was cahrged with stealing ladies undergarments in the school.
He told the court he used them to visualise their owners wearing them as he ‘self-pleased’ himself.
“I used the panties for masturbating while imagining women wearing them,” Danda told the court, before blaming evil spirits for his actions.
The judge hearing the case said she considered that Danda was a first offender who needed to be given a chance to complete his studies but said what he did was an abomination that deserved punishment.
She sentenced him to six months in prison but set aside four months on condition of good behaviour and a further two months if he completed 70 hours of community service at Senga Polyclinic.
When he was arrested, the 21-year-old was found in possession of a collection of stolen panties belonging to colleague female students.
