A man who was allegedly posing as an official from the Department of Defence (DOD) has been arrested.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mr. Erick Otieno Atanga has been presenting himself as Col. Kiprotich.
“Detectives yesterday (Tuesday) arrested Mr. Erick Otieno Atanga who has been…defrauding people by selling them fake DOD tenders,” DCI said on Twitter.
The suspect is expected in court on Thursday to be charged with obtaining money under false pretences, contrary to Section 357 of the Penal Code.
