Where did the 60 Million in the NOLTURESH water project go?

An alleged 60 million shillings worth of public funds, has been embezzled by top management in Nolturesh- Loitoktok Water and Sanitation Company, under Tanathi Water Services Board in the period between 2015 and 2016, with salary arrears of employees pending for more than 8 months.

Documents show bank statements of funds paid to companies, that allegedly cannot be traced for supplying dubious or non existent services. Furthermore, other documents reveal withdrawal of millions of cash.

The Managing Director of Nolturesh Water and Sanitation Company, Jeremy Mutende, has resigned. Mutende who has been accused by the company’s employees of mismanagement of funds allegedly worth 60 million, non – payment of salary arrears and alleged allocations of public funds to personal bank accounts, had recently termed as illegal the week long ongoing strike by its employees.  The bite was too tough to chew for the managing director.
