Ezra Chiloba has shared a disturbing tweet days after he was fired by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. Troubles continued to pile after IEBC Chairman Chebukati was reported to have written to the DPP and EACC requesting them to take action against sacked CEO Ezra Chiloba over ‘misappropriation’ of funds following an audit.
“When the results of the audit came back last month, I wrote to the DPP and the EACC Chairperson to investigate the matter. Those who were responsible for misappropriation of the election funds… be it staff, commissioner, or myself… should not be considered Kenyans,” Chebukati said
“Anyone who was involved should be in jail. And that is why we decided to let go our former CEO (Ezra Chiloba). It is now up to the DPP and the EACC to follow up on the matter, and we hope they will do their jobs because we do not want public funds to be misused.”
In Chiloba’s recent tweet he sent initials PTSD which simply means “Post traumatic stress disorder” a mental disorder that affects someone after they go through a traumatizing experience. Could Chiloba be sending a signal of what he is currently going through?
Kenyans had earlier raised concerns on how people were throwing in insensitive comments shortly after he broke the news of his dismissal. Others had warned that the comments would only affect him negatively. Some Kenyans have sent him comforting messages saying that it will all be well.
#PTSD ?

Mr Chiloba announced Friday evening in a tweet that that his employment at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had been terminated by chairman Wafula Chebukati.
“I received the employment termination letter signed by the chairman about an hour ago. The letter claims that I had twice been invited to appear before the disciplinary committee of the commission, but failed to show up, hence the decision to terminate my employment,” Mr Chiloba said
In a statement he shared on his social media pages, Chiloba said that it was not a surprise to him as his fate had been sealed and the investigation was done as only a ‘formality’.
