I, Ms Zari Hassan Tlale along side Dr Mathew Knowles (talent manager, author and Beyoncé’s father) will be hosting the 2018 African Leaders 4 Change Awards at the Sun Time Square Arena in Pretoria on the 17th of October 2018. The African Leaders 4 Change Awards are an annual awards ceremony held to identify, recognise and reward organisations and individuals doing exceptional work in all areas of philanthropic activities. The event is attended by top business leaders, prominent government officials and dignitaries, celebrities, influencers, media, as well as corporates across the African Continent and will this year also be made open to the public as we are working with a bigger venue. We are anticipating about 10000 attendees this year. Our other hosts this year are Nigerian actress and philanthropist Omotola Jalade Ekeindþe. Our headline act this year is Ice Prince from Nigeria. We also have JahPrayzah from Zimbabwe, Sho Madjozi, and other local acts. Our partners/sponsors this year so far are City of Tshwane, Trace Africa TV, The United Nations, Kaya FM and Sun International. Our event this year is set to be a big African celebration, and the biggest red carpet event in Africa. The inaugural ALCA event in 2017 was a great success. In attendance we had some of the giants of Africa. These included H.E Graça Machel (founder of the Graça Machel Trust), H.E Jakaya Kikwete (former President of Tanzania), Ms. Yvonne Chakachaka (Legend & Philanthropist) among others. 2017 honourees included Manu Chandaria Foundation (Kenya), Allan Gray Foundation (South Africa), WARI ( Senegal), Amadou Gallo Fall (NBA Africa, South Africa), Tim Tebeila (South Africa), Amarula (South Africa).
