Ruiru Biashara Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Elijah Njoroge Kururia gifted a car to a pastor who contributed all he had including bus fare at a fundraiser.
Sources indicate that the MCA, who doubles as the Kiambu Chief Whip, was a chief guest to a church harambee (fundraiser) in Ruiru.
A bishop with the akurino church (a church denomination common in central Kenya whose faithfuls wear turbans) informed the politician that he had contributed his all including the bus fare.
The religious leader further indicated that he would be forced to walk home since he did not have any money on him.
The selfless generosity of the pastor moved the MCA who immediately settled on giving him one of his cars.
Kururia sent his aides to get the car, a Mitsubishi Galant, white in color registration number KAT 411T, which was brought to the venue in a short while.
The MCA handed over the car and its keys to the bishop and his wife leaving the congregation wowed in disbelief.
The Bishop got to the steering and test drive the car when the whole congregation run beside it praising God for the gift.
“I can not watch-over as a dedicated man of God walks when serving God when I can share a car,” the Ruiru Biashara Ward legislator stated.
MCA Njoroge Kururia, who had been invited to the harambee, also pledged to fully fund the construction of the church.
