Secretary of Digital Innovation and Diaspora Communications at statehouse Dennis Itumbi on Monday made a surprise appearance in court in support of his friend Journalist Jacque Maribe who is facing a murder charge.
While in Milimani Law Courts, Itumbi greeted both Ms Maribe and fiancé Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie, at the dock whilst his greeting style with Jowie demonstrated the Jubilee Party symbol for the Slogan “Tuko Pamoja.”
While standing in solidarity with Maribe, Itumbi gentlemanly seems to be carrying full support for the two accused, Maribe and Jowie.
Early in the morning Itumbi took to social media to pray for Ms Maribe for justice to be done to her and the family of the late Monica Kimani.
It has always been said and I agree that, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”
Though it tarries, be sure that Justice will be done my dear friend Jacque Maribe
So shall it be done for Monica and Family.
So, graciously hear me Lord. Good Week

However, Justice Jessie Lessit declined to grant bail to the two after they pleaded not guilty to the charges read to them and instead fixed for a mention on Wednesday October 17 aimed at fixing the date for bail hearing.
The two were remanded and ordered to appear back in Court on Wednesday for a mention to fix the bail hearing date.
