MO DEWJI’S FAMILY PROMISES TO REWARD KSH. 44M TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON HIS WHEREABOUTS

The family of MO Dewji has pledged Sh44 million bounty for anyone with information about his whereabouts.

MO was abducted Thursday morning last week as he alighted to enter Colosseum Hotel, Dar Es Salaam for a gym session.

The 43-year-old Tanzanian business Mogul and philanthropist is also the main sponsor of Tanzanian Premier League champions Simba SC.

Simba announced the family’s offer on their social media channels.

Tanzanian billionaire businessman and sponsor of Tanzania Premier League champions Simba has been reported missing since Thursday morning.

According to Mtanzania Digital, the 43-year-old former politician was kidnapped by unknown armed men early morning around 5.00 am.

Konondoni province police commander Jumanne Muliro has confirmed receiving the news.

“We have received the news of Simba sponsor Mo Dewji missing and we are acting on them. For now we treat them as just reports,” Muliro told Mtanzania Digital.

Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda has refuted claims that the billionaire has been found. Earlier reports indicated that all suspects, had been arrested.

Dewji, a philanthropist bankrolls Tanzania Premier League champions Simba SC and has made the club one of the most competitive in the country.

As per February this year, Dewji popularly known as MO, had a net worth of $1.8billion, making him the 17th richest and youngest billionaire in Africa.

MO is the owner and president of MeTL Group, a Tanzanian conglomerate founded in the 1970s by his father.
