US rapper Kanye West and his reality TV star wife Kim Kardashian visited Uganda President Yoweri Museveni at his official residence in Uganda. Museveni held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and arts.
Kanye West then gifted the Ugandan President a pair of white Yeezy sneakers.

Uganda’s Information Minister Frank Tumwebaze has lauded the Kanye West’s visit saying it is an endorsement to Uganda’s tourism resources.
Kanye’s visit to Uganda is seen as a plus for official tourism promoters, who were recently criticized by President Yoweri Museveni for not doing enough to promote Uganda’s tourism sector.
President Museveni had called upon the Country’s Ministry of tourism and the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to up their game in promoting Uganda’s tourism.
“The promotion of Uganda’s potential in wildlife has been poor. Countries that have nothing to show are getting more tourists than Uganda. The Ministry of Tourism and UWA should bring out the uniqueness of Uganda in their promotion of the tourism sector,” the President said.
Kanye is working on his upcoming “Yandhi” and has set up a temporaray music studio in the wild.Swangz Avenue a Ugandan record label confirmed they are working with West on his new album “Yandhi”.
The rapper who recently changed his name to YE reactivated his twitter account on arrival to Uganda. He had deactivated his twitter and Instagram accounts last week.
