The secretary for Digital, Innovations and Diaspora communications Dennis Itumbi on Monday stirred reactions from Kenyans on Twitter after posting a short prayer to whom he termed as friend Journalist Jacque Maribe.
Itumbi through his twitter account wished well Maribe who on Monday appeared before Justice Jessie Lessit alongside her fiance Joseph Irungu alias Jowie to take plea in the ongoing case of Monica Kimani’s murder in which the duo is the suspect.
It has always been said and I agree that, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”
Though it tarries, be sure that Justice will be done my dear friend Jacque Maribe
So shall it be done for Monica and Family.

Kenyans on twitter however could not take any from Itumbi’s prayer but instead went on to troll him.
Some accused him of publicising personal issues and urged him to inbox the message to his friend whom Kenyans on twitter termed as his ex-girlfriend.

A govt official going on record to state support for an accused that an arm of govt has decided to prosecute! Why not resign and support from the echelons of power. Otherwise it is taken to mean that you will do anything in your power to manipulate justice.
