Kanye West is currently in Uganda, where he received a warm welcome from the Minister of ICT & National Guidance and Spokesperson for Government of Uganda, Frank Tumwebaze.
Ye is said to have set up a pop-up studio where he will be working on his forthcoming album dubbed ‘Yandhi.’

According to the American rapper, he ‘felt the roots’ while in Chicago and wanted his much anticipated studio album to embrace that. “This album is so good. I’m incorporating sounds you’ve never heard before and pushing concepts people don’t talk about.” he said.
In a video that has gone viral, Kanye was captured jamming to ‘Immediately’ by Mystro and Wizkid. Only time will tell if this is the inspiration of the ‘sounds’ he was talking about?
The information as to who Ye is working with is still scanty. However, Ugandan production house and record label Swangz Avenue though reluctant to give details, have confirmed that they are indeed working with Kanye.

According to a tweet online, Kanye’s security detail is said to be very tight with claims that the safari resort they are staying in was shut down.

The Executive Director for Uganda Tourism board however confirmed the rumors that the lodge had been shut down for Kanye’s visit. “Kanye West’s visit is a private visit. He is in Chobe and Chobe is locked. We cannot access it and because of who he is, he has denied us interviews. To get him is a problem.” said Mr. Ssempebwa.
Ye says that the album will touch a lot on body shaming and women being looked down upon because of the number of men they have slept with. The album Yandhi is scheduled for release on Black Friday, November 23rd according to a statement made by his wife, Kim Kardashian.
