NYAMBANE BOOED AT CHURCHILL LIVE RECORDING

Before his appointment by President Kenyatta as the Liaison Officer for the Youth in the Jubilee government, Nyambane was a Kenyan comedian popular for portraying former President Daniel Arap Moi on the TV show Redykyulass.

Walter Mongare AKA Nyambane was on Tuesday evening booed and humiliated to the point of leaving the live recording of the Churchill Show themed ‘Recounting the Moi Rule’ at the Carnivore Grounds ahead of the Moi Day celebrations.

It all began when the host, Daniel Ndambuki AKA Churchill invited Nyambane on stage to impersonate the former President but Nyambane declined. The crowd was not pleased and booed him shouting, “toka” meaning “get out.”

Nyambane tried to calm the crowd and explain his reasons but the audience did not want to listen to him.

After he managed to calm the audience down, Nyambane explained that he did not want to make fun of the retired president saying, “out of respect for the retired President, who today is not as energetic as he was nearly two decades ago, I choose not to imitate or make fun of him.”

His fans came out to support him saying that he was right in disagreeing to imitate the retired President who is now 94 years old while others claimed that Nyambane is now a senior person in the President’s office earning ‘millions’ almost implying that he has no time for comedy.

Sources say that Nyambane left before the recording ended, possibly because of the humiliation.
