Former Citizen TV Kiswahili news anchor Kanze Dena has been officially confirmed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as State House spokesperson and head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).
The President Confirmed Kanze’s position on Friday.
She has since been holding the position in an acting capacity for the past three months since the exit of Manoah Esipisu.
Esipisu was appointed as Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK in July.
“We wish Ms. Dena success in her new role and ask all stakeholders including PSCU staff, the media and colleagues in Government to accord her the support she needs to excel,” Nzioka Waita, chief of staff in the Office of the President said in a statement.
On her exit at Citizen TV, Dena held a thanks giving party aimed at appreciating her friends and colleagues in her new job.

Ms @KanzeDena, who has been acting in the same position for the last 3 months, takes over from Mr Manoah Esipisu who was appointed Kenya's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom in July this year.
