Why Kenyans wish Maribe had made Kassaine’s move

Kenyans have today taken to social media to express their concern on Jacque Maribe following the release of his neighbor Brian Kassaine who is alleged to have made a deal to be a state witness in the murder of Monica Kimani.

As reported by the nation, Mr Bryan Kassaine Spira, the best of friend of Mr Joseph Irungu ‘Jowie’ and TV anchor Jacque Maribe, has turned State witness, according to the Nation’s law enforcement sources. On Monday, Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji gave consent for the prosecution of Mr Irungu and Ms Maribe for murder in the death of Ms Monica Kimani on the night of September 19.

Kenyans have expressed their wishes saying that Maribe would have been safer if she choose to testify against his fiancee Joseph Irungu.

Maribe appeared before Justice Jessie Lessit in Milimani Law Courts alongside her fiance Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, where the judge ordered that she should  undergo mental test before being remanded at Lang’ata women’s prison until Monday when she is expected to take plea. Although her lawyer had requested that the court should allow her to take plea on the same day she was arraigned in court, the move was denied following her detention at the Lang’ata women’s prison.
