Jacque Maribe, Irungu be Charged with MURDER of Monica Kimani: DPP Haji Orders

DPP orders Jacque Maribe to be charged with murder of Monica Kimani

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered that TV journalist Jacque Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu be charged with the murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the DPP affirmed that he had reviewed the evidence and there was satisfactory cause of action to warrant criminal prosecution against the two (Joseph Kuria Irungu alias Jowie and Jacqueline Wanjiru Maribe).

“I have independently reviewed the evidence so far on record and am satisfied that there exists a prima facie case to warrant criminal prosecution against the following individuals, for the offense of murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal code,” read part of the statement.
