Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed speculation over his future amounts to man-hunt.

Mourinho was relieved to see his side manage a come-back to beat Newcastle 3-2 at Old Trafford. Alexis Sanchez last-minute strike was enough to see off Newcastle who had taken a 2-0 lead inside first ten minutes.

“It is the first time I see man-hunting. I can cope with it. I can live with it. Some of the boys, in spite of them not being the man that is hunted, they are not coping well with it,” Mourinho said.

The boss was also afraid to see his players scared on the pitch and particularly mentioned youngsters Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay.

“Marcus Rashford was sad on the pitch, Scott McTominay was scared on the pitch. Even older players commit mistakes that are not normal.” Worried Mourinho.

He was also quick to take a simple jibe on his critics for blaming him on even problems that he has no close influence on.

“As a friend of mine was saying to me this morning, if tomorrow it rains in London it is my fault. If there are some difficulties with the agreements of Brexit, it is my fault. I have to be ready for all of this. I think a lot of wickedness and clear man-hunting in football is too much. It is my life. It is the life I love and since I was a kid I work for this.” Mourinho concluded.

Juan Mata and Anthony Martial were the other two scorers for Man United in a tense afternoon.
