A close source to Alexis Sanchez says the Chilean is unhappy at Manchester United after being sold false promises at Old Trafford.

The former Arsenal man, who is thought to earn around £500,000-a-week, is one of a swathe of Manchester United players to fall out with manager Jose Mourinho.

According to ‘The Sun’ he is said to have told his agent Fernando Felicevich to help him sort out the situation, with a move away not ruled out.

He is said to believe that United sold him false promises, potentially about playing time, which he has seen diminished this season with his sub-par form. The English tabloid newspaper has quoted a source close to Sanchez as saying: ”He is totally fed up and at the end of his tether with Mourinho.

”The idea he was sold about his part in this team has not played out. He knows he can’t leave right now but is in talks with his agent about what they can do to try and sort the situation out.”

Sanchez started against Valencia in the 0-0 draw in midweek, but was not even in the squad for the West Ham defeat the previous Saturday.

He has endured a down turn in form this season and has not registered a goal in his six appearances so far.

Zidane Wanted to Sign Manchester United Trio

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane wanted to sign Manchester United trio Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and David De Gea in his final year at the Bernabeu.

As reported by the ‘Manchester Evening News’ the Frenchman registered an interest in all three players during his last year with Real.

It is understood that informal meetings took place in the 2017/18 season, where the reigning Champions League winners asked to be informed on the ongoing situations of all three players, with an eye to a transfer to the Spanish capital.

While Real Madrid have been widely known to be after De Gea for years and Pogba has also been linked with a switch, the interest in Martial had been less widely reported.

Zidane’s interest in the three players would point to a wish to work with them, adding fuel to the fire of rumours linking the three time Champions League winning manager taking over from Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

While Mourinho is embroiled in a bitter feud with Pogba and is also rumoured to have alienated Martial, it is thought that Zidane would have a better relationship with the pair. Not only is he the same nationality, but he is renowned for his man management skills.

Superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale never spoke out against him, despite not being happy at Real last year, in a stark contrast to the situation at Manchester United at the moment.

Could Zidane be the man to make the club ‘United’ again?
