Might Obado be trapped by the recent revelations?

Will the recent revelation in relation to Sharon Otieno’s murder affect the court ruling over Obado’s  case? This is the question that arises following the allegations that Obado’s wife revealed that there was a plot set to record a sex tape of Sharon

As reported by the star,  Governor Okoth Obado’s wife Hellen Adhiambo has said there was a plot in April to record a sex tape of her husband with Sharon Otieno.

In her statement to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) recorded on September 23, Hellen said it was during this revelation that she heard of Sharon — for the first time.

Sharon, who was seven month’s pregnant with the Migori governor’s son, was brutally murdered on September 3. The governor has been charged with murder, conspiracy and financing, which he has denied. He has been remanded until his bail hearing on October 8.

The Star obtained the DCI statement. “Hellen Obado told detectives that a man, whose mobile she did not have, called her from Awendo subcounty and introduced himself as a friend of the governor’s family.

Hellen said the caller informed her that Sharon was booked at the Imperial Hotel in Kisumu where the sex episode was to be videotaped.

“I called one of our coordinators from Awendo to inquire if Sharon was part of the governor’s campaign team dubbed Warembo na Obado. We confirmed she wasn’t,” the governor’s wife said.

Hellen said she called her husband, who was at the devolution conference in Kakamega, to inform him of the plot.

“I asked him whether he knew Sharon and whether he had booked with her at the said hotel. He denied that and informed me that he was staying at the Acacia Premier hotel,” she told the DCI.”

With this recent revelation, Kenyans suspect that this might make the situation worse for the Migori Governor. Others suspect that Sharon might have wanted a sex tape as a tool to blackmail Obado’s family. The police are yet to reveal whether these allegations are true. Below are some of Kenyans reactions.

Isn’t this going to make it worse for Obado
