Chelsea take on Vidi tonight as they look to keep their Europa League campaign on track and Maurizio Sarri is set to ring the changes.

Chelsea returned to European action two weeks ago as they beat PAOK Salonika 1-0 in Greece.

They’ve since faced West Ham and gone through a testing double-header against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Sarri will have one eye on Sunday’s encounter with Southampton, when Chelsea will be hoping to close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City.

And he has already revealed he will make a number of changes to his line-up when Vidi visit Stamford Bridge.

“I have to speak to Pedro who is doing better, like [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek,” Sarri said, when asked for team news on Wednesday.

“I think tomorrow every player is available but I have to change five, six or seven players.

“I don’t know yet, I want to see the training this afternoon and the last training tomorrow morning.”

Sarri was followed at Chelsea’s press conference by Ross Barkley, indicating the midfielder will start against Vidi.

While the Blues gaffer revealed he has a choice to make between Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

“For sure not both – Hazard or Hudson-Odoi I think,” Sarri added.

“I said a couple of weeks ago that the period from the first international break to the second is like my pre-season so I would like to see every player in this period, so maybe tomorrow it is time to see Loftus-Cheek I think. I don’t know about Hudson-Odoi at the moment.

“Loftus-Cheek was unlucky in the last three weeks after the match with the international team, he had a problem but in the last five or six days he has been better, he is able to play tomorrow.”

Cesc Fabregas, who featured as a substitute against PAOK, is expected to slot in and anchor the midfield in place of Jorginho.

“Cesc did very well in the last 30 minutes in Greece and very well for 90 minutes in Liverpool,” Sarri said.

“He has to improve his physical condition of course but he is a great option in this position.

“Cesc is very good in moving the ball, like Jorginho, more than Jorginho, so we don’t need to change the style of football with Fabregas.”

Sarri is expected to make 10 changes from the team which drew with Liverpool last weekend.

And he will be hoping Chelsea can take control of Europa League Group L by beating the Hungarian minnows.

Predicted Chelsea kine up vs Vidi: (4-3-3) Kepa; Zappacosta, Christensen, Cahill, Emerson; Fabregas, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek; Moses, Morata, Hudson-Odoi.
