Kenyans have reacted to recent developments in regard to the arrest of Jacque Maribe and the alleged contradictory statements that she has been giving the police ever since the investigation of Monica Kimani’s murder began. Her fiancee Joseph Irungu was arrested as the first suspect in the murder. Both Maribe and Irungu are in police custody pending the hearing of the case.
This incident has raised many questions among Kenyans as police continue with their efforts to unravel the mystery behind Monica’s murder. Initially, reports covered by media platforms stated that Irungu who is nursing a gunshot wound, claimed that he had been shot by gunmen however, the police later on clarified that they suspected that Irungu shot himself in a suicide attempt.
This has left many Kenyans confused as they try to understand what happened. Maribe is alleged to have confessed to the police that Irungu’s attempt occurred after the two had a disagreement. Following this revelation then, will Maribe testify against Irungu? These are questions that are yet to be answered on the next hearing.
The star today indicated that Maribe has given a new account in her a statement an this triggered a lot of reactions from Kenyans.
