The family of the late Sharon has refuted claims an allegations going around social media that Sharon’s mother asked for upkeep from Migori county government. Melida Auma who is the deceased mother harshly denied the allegations which she said they are from people who are sympathizing with governor Obado and aim at tarnishing the family name negatively.

“We do not want to be involved in any way with Migori County or any of its employees. we have not asked for any help from the county. we know some of those producing and spreading such news are Obado’s people,” Melima Auma stated.

The claims are deemed as ill-fated which aim at turning the point of focus and interfering with the process of justice which the family insists that it must be  served to them.

Governor Obado during the case hearing on his alleged involvement on Sharon’s murder.

Obado who was denied bail last week and is being held in Industrial Area , is linked to the murder of Sharon and the abduction of Nation journalist Barack Oduor who survived with numerous injuries.

Although the family is strongly convinced that for once justice will be served to them and the entire nation, they have resolved to bury the late Sharon on October 18.  her parents ,Mr Douglas Otieno and Ms Melida Auma asked Kenyans to desist from spreading such falsehood information or peddling lies which are fueled at painting a bad light to the mourning family. the parents said they had have a meeting with the committee on Sunday and decided on the burial plans of Sharon.

According to the luo culture the body will be brought to their home on October 17 for a night to allow the family and friends to view the body and offer their last respects then later taken to the grandfathers homestead where it will be buried.

their decision is based on the belief that their daughter would get justice although the family had vowed not to bury her till justice is served. the key suspects including Obado who is still in remand who was denied bail application on Thursday by the court and ordered to spend 11 more days in the remand at the Industrial Area.

Mr Michael Oyamo who is Obado’s personal assistant is also linked to the murder of Sharon who is also spending two more weeks at the prison as he waits the hearing  of his bail application on October 8. Mr Caspal Obiero who works in Migori County is also among the accused.

This comes when Obado is facing impeachment threats from some of the members of Migori county assembly. who have laid on the table the motion to have governor Obado removed from power by the M.C.A’s who are fury. This move is seen as a political downfall for Obado who is looking with a keen eye to survive this case linking him to the murder case.

Many Kenyans are on the watch to see the fate and the outcome of the case as many similar cases have just drifted to extinction in Kenya. This case comes at the time where the famous T.V presenter Jackie Maribe is being held for alleged conspiring and collaborating with his fiance ,Joe Irungu famously known as Jowie for the alleged murder of Monica Kimani with several evidence linking them to the murder case.

The two case stand as a big test to the independence of the judicial system and the power the court in Kenya holds over those in powerful positions in Kenya. Let wait and see if justice is our shield and defender.
