Cristiano Ronaldo missed the first Juventus training session since sex assault claims were made against him by a Las Vegas model. Portuguese superstar Ronaldo has been accused of attacking American Kathryn Mayorga in a hotel room during a holiday to Las Vegas in 2009. The former Real Madrid forward strongly denies the claims, and appeared to address the incident in an Instagram video over the weekend, saying: “No, no, no, no, no. What they said today? Fake, fake news.” Ronaldo appeared in Juve’s 3-1 Serie A win over Napoli at the weekend, where he made two assists, but is yet to train with his teammates since.

Ronaldo is suspended for the next match and may have been given a day off by the club.

However, with no explanation given for the no-show by the world’s highest-profile player

Massimiliano Allegri led a full session for his stars on Monday ahead of Tuesday evening’s Champions League clash with Young Boys.

Juve will attempt to continue their winning start in this season’s competition at the Allianz Stadium.

The Italian completed a 2-0 victory over Valencia in their opening fixture in Europe – with Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic notching a brace of penalties.

After the alleged sex assault, Ronaldo and Ms Mayorga then reached an out-of-court agreement, according to Leslie Mark Stovall, lawyer for the alleged victim Mayorga. The report claims that she had pledged never to speak of the accusation again, before Ronaldo allegedly paid her $375,000. She is now trying to overturn that judgement with her lawyer confirming papers had been filed at Clark County District Court in Nevada. The court documents state: “ Cristiano Ronaldo pulled the plaintiff into a bedroom and on to a bed and attempted to engage in sexual intercourse.” It said the plaintiff refused, tried to cover herself and was screaming: “No, no, no”.

It adds: “When Cristiano Ronaldo completed the sexual assault, he allowed her to leave the bedroom stating he was sorry, he was usually a gentleman.”
