After recording a statement with the police at Kilimani police station, Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has been arrested again.
This happened on Saturday evening and it is in connection with the brutal and senseless murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani in her apartment at Kilimani.
She is currently at Gigiri Police station. Her fiance Joe Irungu – whose stree moniker is Jowie – is currently in police custody for 120 days till investigation into Monicah’s murder is complete.
During her interrogation of Thursday evening, Jacque swore that she did not know Monicah, infact she read the news of her demise on TV.
The interrogation was a measure to clear her name after police claimed they could not reach her or locate her whereabouts, the previous day.
Jacque said she went to her parents because she was still in shock.
Last Friday, Police arrested Jowie at Jacque Maribe’s house in Langata where they both were hanging out.
The detectives also carried away samples for testing. They recovered a live bullet in her house, under her bed, that was taken for further testing.

Police are still looking for the ‘kanzu’ he wore when he went to Monicah Kimani’s house in Kilimani on the day she was murdered.
The screen siren narrated the genesis of their relationship saying that she meet Jowie in a popular city club earlier this year.
They fell in love and a few months later he proposed to her. That is when they moved in together.
On the night that Jowie was shot, a source claims that Jacque was hanging out at Kiu Lounge, off Dennis Pritt, with her pals who include some prominent politicians, Jowie joined them.
“Joe joined Jackie and her friends at the club. Jackie made some comments which didn’t go down well with Joe. She ordered him to hand over her cars keys and ATM in front of her friends. Joe protested before them,” said a friend who didn’t want to be quoted. told Standard.
Later that evening is when Jowie tells cops he was shot after dropping Jacque at her house in Langata.
