Manchester United legend gives his stand on Pogba-Mourinho battles

Former Manchester United talisman Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he is fed up with Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho’s feud saying the two should sort out their differences.

Pogba publicly criticized Jose Mourinho’s tactics after the frustrating 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The French man said United should attack more when they are at home, “When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack.” It is alleged that the comments are the reason for Pogba being stripped off his vice-captaincy role at the club.

Berbatov revealed that he is tired of the continued strained relationship between the two, “As someone who wants Manchester United to do well, I’m fed up of waking up and seeing these headlines. Football should be about what happens on the pitch, not who has the biggest d***. It’s a stupid situation.”

The former Tottenham Hotspur forward added that Pogba must have done something to be stripped of his captaincy role, “For Mourinho to have gone as far as removing the vice-captaincy, Pogba must have provoked him – whether it was the comments after the Wolves game or something else. But these arguments affect everybody else and start having an impact on the pitch.”

Berbatov noted that he is shocked at how far the situation has gone out of hand, “I’m really surprised it has got to this stage. This sort of thing really needs to be kept in-house. You’re all grown-ups, figure it out in the dressing room.”
