Governor Waititu Speaks on Monica Kimani’s murder

Kiambu county Governor Ferdinand Waititu has expressed his feelings about the gruesome murder of Monica Nyawera Kimani who was found murdered and her throat slit at her house in Kilimani.

Waititu who was speaking during Monica’s requiem mass at Mount Kenya University grounds in Thika on Thursday said he does not believe that one can do anything and get away with it.

The Kiambu governor now wants the government to speed up investigations and take action against the killers.

A suspect in the murder case by the name Joseph Irungu alias Joe Jowie was on Tuesday arrested and charged with murder case at Kiambu Court on Wednesday.

His fiance, a Kenyan based journalist Jacque Maribe is also being sought by the police to record a statement over the case since the details showed that her vehicle was the one used by the suspect to commit the murder.

Kilimani police detectives have dusted Maribe’s car to find out any evidence linking the vehicle with the crime incident.

Maribe’s whereabouts still remain unknown as police intensify investigations.
