Details Emerge:Monica’s Killer wanted an affair with her?

A requiem mass for the slain Monica Nyawira Kimani was on Thursday held at Mount Kenya University grounds in Thika where the emotional family sought for Monica’s justice.

A poster full of Monica’s pictures was hanged at one of the tents with a message seeking for justice.

During the mass, Monica’s brother George Kimani claimed that the prime suspect Joseph Irungu alias Joe Jowie had wanted an affair with his late sister.

George revealed that his sister had informed him that Joseph Irungu, who is in police custody in connection with the murder, was interested in having an affair with her.

“The two were mutual friends and mostly communicated on Facebook and through Instagram. There was nothing intimate; Irungu admired my sister but she did not take him seriously as she had a boyfriend,” said Mr Kimani.

The family said that the two began communicating on social media before they finally met recently at Westlands, Nairobi.
