Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s PA Michael Oyamo has been remanded until October 8 to allow probe into the murder of Sharon Otieno pending bail hearing.
Oyamo appeared before Justice Lessy Lessit at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi on Wednesday where he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecution led by Jacob Ondari said that Oyamo is the “main man” in this case and filed an affidavit to oppose his release on bail.
The Defence asked the court to release the accused person on bail though they did not have a formal application.
His lawyers had requested to have him released on bail but their application was rejected following an affidavit that was presented to them by the prosecution.
Oyamo was charged for the murder of Rongo University Student Sharon Otieno who was found stabbed to death in Kodera forest.
