Kenyans are now chewing the bitter pill as reality of tax measures hit hard. They refer to it as ‘thewagebillfromhell’. They have been lamenting since the wake of the new tax charges were released.
Some political leaders were in agreement to the new wage bill; recently, Deputy President Ruto spoke in support of more taxes for Kenyans.
The new tax policy that was passed will dig deeper into the pockets of Kenyans and the outcry does not seem to end anytime soon.
Today, KOT took to hashtag ‘Thewagebillfromhell” and addressed their major concerns with some demanding that the government should consider slashing away some of the political positions which according to them are unnecessary.
Katiba is perfect we only have rotten corrupt leaders & the blotted representation has only inflated the real problem. #CorruptionMustFall #WageBillFromHell

#YoutNaGava #ShujaazTalk I hope this talks of leadership, the taxation law are not all as a result of people selfishly aiming at just changing the constitution. Otherwise we Kanyans are over represented. #YesKenya #WageBillFromHell #TaxVoteKe

This was President Kenyatta’s tweet that he shared after signing the 2018 Finacial Bill “I have signed into law the Finance Bill 2018. I give my commitment that I will ensure proper utilisation of public resources for a better Kenya. I will not relent on the war against Corruption.”
Even though President Kenyatta gave his commitment to Kenyans that he willenure proper utilistion of public resources, Kenyans still have concerns that they feel need to be addressed.
#WageBillFromHell ;Kenyans must reject any more burden ,its already too high.
