Utawala residents during the Wednesday morning protests against poor state of the roads in the area strongly condemned Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua.
The residents who were protesting against the dusty roads destructed by trucks ferrying sand and ballast through Utawala roads said Machakos County government up to now have not done their part.
The lives of residents of: Utawala<>Kincar<>Airways<>Katani matter. The Machakos County Govermnent should construct tarmac roads in this area and avert health hazards occassioned by increased dusts from lorries, lack of roads, water & poor security.

The area is partly in Nairobi County, Embakasi East constituency and partly in Machakos County.
Residents claim that Machakos side has worse roads than those on Nairobi side.
They now urge Dr Alfred Mutua to take the Machakos side and construct North airways road to connect with the roads done by the Nairobi side.
Embakasi East Constituency Member of Parliament Babu Owino had said that plans to construct Kincar road were due and residents now urge Mutua to take up Airways road to open up Utawala.
