Real Madrid ace hints at Chelsea move

Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic who is currently on loan to Chelsea has hinted at making his move to The Bluespermanent in the next summer transfer window.

In a post-match interview after the disappointing 0-0 draw to West Ham United, Kovacic hinted at making his move permanent. The Croatian joined from Real Madrid on a season-long loan as part of the deal that saw Thibaut Courtois leave the club. Kovacic has made five appearances for Chelsea so far this season and has fit seamlessly into Maurizio Sarri’s midfield three.

Kovacic dropped a major hint at playing making his move to Chelsea permanent, “It is too early and I have to respect my contract with Real Madrid. But for now I’m really happy with Chelsea. The city is amazing. The fans are great. The stadium, everything is nice. I could imagine myself [staying] here.”

The 24-year-old struggled for game time at Real Madrid and looks to be enjoying the playing time he’s getting at Chelsea.
