There is a saying in Africa that parents should not bury their children. It is so painful. But imagine the pain in which Sharon Otieno mother, Melida Auma is going through.
Her daughter, who was seven months pregnant was gang raped before being stabbed eight times and her mutilated body thrown in Kodera forest. Her murderers didn’t even have the decency to cover her body, as she was found naked.
Melida Auma couldn’t hold on her tears at Milimani Law Courts where governor Okoth Obad0, was being charged withe murder of her daughter.

A video posted on Twitter by Nairobi News, shows mama Melida sobbing in painful tears maybe thinking about the pain that her daughter might have endured before taking her last breath. Only a mother knows the pain of losing a treasured baby.
Governor Obado, who DNA reports have revealed that he was the father of Sharon’s unborn baby was charged with aiding and abetting the murder of the 26 year old Rongo University student. Also to be charged are Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero, who are Obado’s aides.
Obado denied the charges and will be remanded at Industrial Area Police Station pending the hearing of his bail application.
