Unconfirmed reports indicate that Sharon Otieno’s relatives are facing threats and intimidation from unknown people.
It is reported that Sharon’s uncle was attacked by unknown people who wanted to abduct him over the weekend. The assailants are said to have made away with his wallet, money and national Identification card.
These reports are however unsubstantiated since, the victim has not made any complaints to the police. The new revelations comes at a time when Migori governor, Okoth Obado has been arraigned in court to face murder charges.
Obado, denied charges of aiding and abetting the murder of his seven month pregnant girlfriend. The county chief denied the charges and was remanded at Industrial Area Police Station pending the decision on his bail application which is due Tuesday afternoon.
Sharon’s mutilated body was discovered three weeks ago in a thicket near Oyugis town. She went missing after being lured to abduction by Michael Oyamo, Obado’s Personal Assistant who is also in custody.
Police have also arrested Caspal Obiero, another aide to the Migori governor whose car is believed to have been used to transport Sharon to her slaughter.
