Kenyans on Twitter seem to be still angry at the new taxes that came as a result of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s signing into law the 2018 finance bill on Friday before he left for New York.
The President i the morning Tweeted informing Kenyans of the done deal between Kenya and US whereby direct 15 hour direct flights are to be made from New York to Nairobi JKIA, citing that it will help grow the tourism industry.
Our national carrier will soon traverse the skies on a daily 15 hour direct flight from Nairobi to New York City and from New York City to Nairobi. These flights will be a major boost to tourism and trade between Kenya and the US | @KenyaAirways https://t.co/3fB6oDh6gc pic.twitter.com/ybWoOVu2zm

Kenyans on tweeter did take any of the president’s words as they threw barbs at the him after he tweets on arrival in New York.
It was a quiet departure at JKIA and a loud landing for the Head of State in the storm of taxation anger.
They claim the president has to intervene with the prices of Kerosine among other new imposed taxes that have seen the cost of living going high.
Here are just but a few reactions from Kenyans on Twitter.
We want you to do a Ted Talk on taxing Kerosene!

Mr. President, after the VAT, kenyan pockets are dry. Don’t think anyone can afford the flights.
